Spain Seascapes Workshop with Alister Benn and Adam Gibbs | 15th – 25th September 2020 (SOLD OUT) – wait list only

Price per Participant | USD $6000 – Single Occupancy With en suite / Max 4 Participants

Spain makes up a significant part of SW Europe and is a country rich in diverse landscapes. One most commonly thinks of arid Mediterranean scrub, sandstone cliffs and azure blue seas, or mile upon mile of sandy beaches. In fact, much of Spain is quite temperate, with a cool, wet climate, with large accumulations of snow on the mountain ranges.

Great contrasts in geology create a coastline rich in change and feel, with many rock types making the surface and shoreline. The coves are secluded and hard to find with only a few of them sign posted. Exploring this coast is a long term commitment.

Alister Benn was born and raised in Scotland and coming from an outdoor family grew up with a profound interest and respect for the natural world and the environments around him. He also writes regular articles in Landscape Photography Magazine and onlandscape Magazine and has a solid reputation as both a technician photographer and a deep thinker

Alister continues developing his conceptual fine art work using the landscape as a metaphor for our existence and relationship with the wilderness. This can be viewed at alisterbenn.com

I enjoy photography, and I especially cherish the opportunity to experience the subjects that I photograph. The act of hiking to a location and simply setting up a camera and taking a few images is what I enjoy about photography. To watch beautiful light on a snowbound peak or camp in an alpine meadow surrounded by wildflowers are the things that draw me to photography, not the other way around. For me, photography is an extension of the outdoor experience, nothing more, nothing less.
